Julie Mehretu
To exhibit video detail of her towering HOWL, eon (I, II) paintings, McArthur Genius Grant winner Julie Mehretu needed two huge projection screens. We approached the project with concerns of modularity, stability, functionality, and aesthetics. Using mechanical fasteners to allow for ease of transport and assembly, and concealed hardware to tension the screens, we provided a crisp, sturdy solution that wouldn’t distract from the work on display.
